The purpose of our community group ministry is to establish, grow and multiply groups that live life together with gospel intentionality.

Life Together. The gospel doesn't just save us as individuals; the gospel saves us into a new community. According to Scripture, spiritual growth cannot happen apart from active participation in a life-together Christian community. This type of community is much more than just an event or meeting but a group of people who share a mutual commitment and whose lives regularly intersect.

Gospel-Intentionality. Jesus Himself enters into a community through His Word, so we will work to develop gospel-intentionality in our meetings and relationships. The transforming power of community is activated when we purposely and lovingly work the gospel into our formal and informal conversations. Gospel intentionality recognizes that all issues are ultimately gospel issues so every conversation, issue, discussion or problem is an opportunity to discover the riches and depths of the gospel.

Establish, Grow, Multiply. Because gospel-centered community is God's intended vehicle for evangelism and discipleship, Harbor seeks to involve as many people as possible in community groups. This means that we will equip and encourage our groups to advance through each life stage - Establish, Grow, Multiply.
